Pesapuu Watchtower

The Pesapuu watchtower is a unique destination and landmark in Rõuge Ööbikuorg (Nightingale Valley). In the immediate surroundings of the tower, you will find scenic hiking trails, working hydraulic rams, Inglisild (Angel’s Bridge), and an Iron Age farmstead reconstruction. During the summer season, the Rõuge Ööbikuorg Visitor Centre is also open to welcome visitors.

Path of Breath leads you into the heart of Rõuge’s untouched nature. Walk through the silence of the primeval valley, wander along lake shores, listen to birdsong, and breathe in the fresh forest air. Rõuge’s landscapes are beautiful in every season — blossom-filled trails in spring, boat trips in summer, mushroom foraging in autumn, and snowshoe hikes in winter. Here you can escape everyday routines, restore your energy, and find inspiration. This nature experience is for everyone who feels most at peace when surrounded by the natural world.
