Located in Rõuge Parish, the Luhasoo Study Trail is an approximately 5-kilometre circular trail that passes through one of the most beautiful and diverse bog landscapes in Southern Estonia. Along the trail, visitors can observe all stages of bog development — from fen to raised bog. The hike offers a calming, educational, and naturally diverse experience, introducing the unique characteristics of bogs, transition mires, and forest ecosystems. Informative boards in both Estonian and English provide interesting insights into the surrounding nature and landscape.
Visitors can walk along wooden boardwalks through moss-covered wetlands, around the bog lake and tall sedges, enjoy birdwatching, explore distinctive plant life, visit the forest hut, and experience the silence and openness that nourish one's inner balance.
The trail is open year-round, although the best time to visit is from spring to autumn.
