Rõuge, with its breathtaking nature, has long inspired people to venture into tourism, and many of them are offering something extra to make your day truly complete: food is served by PuhmaPuhvet (serving authentic country fare!) and Suur Muna cafe-restaurant, which has just opened accommodation in cosy mini-houses. At Rõuge Ööbikuorg (Nightingale Valley), mouth-watering Rennehoov burgers await you. Our itinerary also proudly features two museums: Mõniste Peasant Museum and The Telecom and Laptop Museum. The latter operates entirely independently, born from a hobby that has blossomed into an experience guaranteed to evoke genuine nostalgia and emotion in every single visitor.

Naturally, it is well worth stepping inside Rõuge Church—this beautiful church still brings families together at life's most meaningful moments and is a beloved venue for hosting events.

In addition, two info meetings will take place during the day. At the cafe of the Suur Munamägi viewing tower, you can meet with the tourism manager of Rõuge Municipality between 10:00 and 15:00 to ask about the opportunities that tourism offers in one of Estonia's most prominent rural tourism areas.

From 16:00 to 17:00, an info hour for Rõuge Municipality will be held at the Suur Muna cafe-restaurant in Haanja, where we will briefly introduce the municipality and answer all your questions about living a fulfilling country life in our region.

Notably, the hosts of the Telecom and Laptop Museum, Haanjamehe Farm Hotel, and Rennehoov (operating at the Rõuge Nightingale Valley Visitor Centre) have all made a major turning point in their lives—moving from Tallinn to the countryside—and are more than happy to share their real-life experiences with you.

On the same day, the family of Nõlva Farm will also open their doors: "We are two young people who moved to the countryside two years ago. Since we felt that a proper farm simply cannot exist without farm animals, we have kept expanding our herd." Today, Nõlva Farm is home to cows, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, and bees.
