Come and celebrate the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia at the highest peak in Estonia!

February 24, 2025
Location: Suur Munamägi observation tower, Rõuge Municipality, Võru County
Time: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The festive day starts with a special morning:
6:50 AM – The tower doors open so you can enjoy the sunrise before everyone else. So be an early bird to catch the whole spectacle.

Flag hoisting at sunrise (just as the first rays touch the top of the tower, around 7:08 AM) with Rõuge Mayor Britt Vahter.
From the tower, the sunrise is visible about 10-15 minutes earlier than the official sunrise time.

After sunrise, morning coffee and traditional sprat sandwiches await all participants at the Tower Café to start the anniversary in the best possible way!

We are celebrating all day long!
The tower doors are open until 5:00 PM – come on up the hill during the day and share your festive greetings with a photo or on social media!

Bring your family, friends, and the blue-black-white pride in your heart, and come celebrate the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia at the very highest point!

Long live Estonia! Long live Rõuge! Long live Munamägi!

Let us know you're coming and share the event with friends! See you at Suur Munamägi!
