The Suur Munamägi Observation Tower stands on the highest point in Estonia and the entire Baltic region, rising 318 metres above sea level in Haanja Nature Park. From here, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views stretching up to 50 kilometres across the rolling landscapes, forests, and lakes of Võrumaa. On clear days, it is even possible to see the forests of Latvia and Russia on the horizon.

The tower itself is 29.1 metres high, and the observation platform can be reached either by lift or by stairs, making it accessible for visitors of all ages — from young travellers to elderly guests. The tower is a popular destination for nature lovers, hikers, local families, international visitors, and those interested in history and geography.

Visitors can enjoy:

  • spectacular views from the highest point in Estonia;

  • a café located at the foot of the tower;

  • beautiful natural surroundings;

  • a family-friendly atmosphere and children’s play area.
