PuhmaPuhvet operates at Saarniidu family farm in Rõuge, where the fifth generation is currently living. This gives the place a special sense of history and identity – it is not just a café, but a family home. The hosts aim to create a welcoming space for tour groups, school excursions, families, and individual visitors. Simple, tasty, and homemade food is served here.
At PuhmaPuhvet, guests can enjoy daily specials (12:00–14:00), as well as order group catering and picnic baskets for two. The regular menu includes French fries, wraps, burgers, potato roses, warm potato salad, traditional Estonian barley bread "karask", nettle or rhubarb lemonade, ice cream, and milkshakes. Additionally, PuhmaPuhvet offers the option to order picnic baskets for two.
Visitors also have access to a family-friendly garden area with lawn checkers, football billiards, and other outdoor games.
The café is open Tue–Sun 12:00–20:00. On Mondays, it is open by pre-order only.
