Campfire Sites in Rõuge Parish

The campfire sites of Rõuge Municipality offer an opportunity to spend time in nature, experience peace and quiet, and sit by the fire. These sites are ideal both for a short rest stop during a hike and for spending a longer time outdoors. Remember to always follow fire safety regulations and use only designated campfire sites.

RMK Haanja Campfire Site

The Haanja campfire site is accessible by car during the summer season. In winter, visitors should leave their vehicle at the Suur Munamägi parking area and walk approximately 400 metres to the site. It is a convenient stop during a hike or day trip and offers a chance to warm up by the fire also during colder days.

RMK Lake Vaskna Campfire Site

Located on the shores of Lake Vaskna, this campfire site is accessible by car in both summer and winter, depending on road conditions. It is well suited for family outings and group excursions. During the summer months, visitors can combine the campfire experience with swimming in the lake.

RMK Luhasoo Campfire Site

The official RMK campfire site at Luhasoo is located next to the parking area, at both the beginning and end of the nature trail, and is accessible year-round. In the middle of the bog, on a small forest island, there is another campfire and picnic area beside a forest hut, which can also be used for overnight stays. Luhasoo is an excellent destination for a longer hiking day and a peaceful nature experience.

RMK Paganamaa Campfire Site

Situated in a diverse and scenic natural area, the Paganamaa campfire site is accessible in both summer and winter, depending on weather and road conditions. It serves as an excellent stop while exploring the hiking trails of Paganamaa. Particularly atmospheric in spring and autumn, it can be enjoyed throughout the year.

RMK Pähni Forest Hut and Campfire Site

The Pähni forest hut and campfire site provide shelter and a comfortable place for a longer stop in the heart of the forest. The site is accessible year-round, although winter visitors should take snow and road conditions into account. RMK Metsavenna Campfire Site

RMK Saunamaa Campfire Site

The Saunamaa campfire site primarily serves hikers travelling along the RMK Peraküla–Aegviidu–Ähijärve hiking route. Accessible on foot via the trail in all seasons, it provides a convenient place to rest and prepare a campfire during a longer hike.

RMK Ubajärve Campfire Site
