Events on June 19–27

June 19 (Thursday)
Midsummer madness opening bash, Vana-Roosa – at 19:00. Traditional Midsummer games, on stage band Piiri Peal, catering by Daisy kohvik. Ticket €8, children for free.

Mooska farm smoked sauna meat straight from the sauna – from 16:00 to 18:00.

June 21 (Sunday)
Early morning summer solstice hike in Haanjamaa – at 07:00. Come and celebrate the brightest time of the year in the enchanting nature of Haanjamaa.
Kampsunis on PÖÖRE (Turn in Kampsun), Café Kampsun in Haanja – at 09:00.
Open doors at Rogosi Manor – from 14:00 to 16:00. Did you know that Rogosi Manor has become a piano manor? There are 22 pianos in the manor, and a summer full of music and concerts awaits. Admission is free, and 10 tickets for summer events will be raffled among the participants.

June 22 (Monday)
Midsummer Eve in Kangsti, Kangsti village square – at 19:00.
Rogosi Manor's Midsummer Party – at 20:00. Bands Rogosi ja Sõbrad and Recovery, DJ ET.

June 24 (Wednesday – Midsummer Day)
Plaani hand-scythe mowing competition, Plaani village – at 13:00.
Rõuge trail run and walk (stage 12) – at 16:00.

Kõrvipalu Midsummer evening, Kõrvipalu Creative Farm, Varstu – performances by Vihivuhin, Asso Int, the band Player, DJ Ago Niglas. Bring your own picnic basket, a morning sauna awaits users of the camping area. Limited number of tickets available – no sales on site! Ticket on fienta.com

June 26–28 (Friday–Sunday)
Tour de Rõuge MTB 2026 – three-stage mountain bike race.
Stage I: June 26 at 20:00, start from Ööbikuoru square (15–20 km)
Stage II: June 27 at 12:00, start from Tellaste village (50–60 km)
Stage III: June 28 at 10:00, start from Ööbikuoru square (55–65 km)

June 26 (Friday)
Yard sale all over Rõuge area - Rõuge parish changes into one big open yard.

June 27 (Saturday)
Kavadi Kuurits, Lake Kavadi, Uue-Saaluse – from 11:00 to 16:00. Fishing competition by the lake.
Meelis & Katrin Duo 10th anniversary concert, Rõuge Ööbikuorg song festival stage – at 18:00. Joined by the youth band Gelder from Võru Music School. Admission by donation.

Where to eat during Midsummer week

Rennehoov, Rõuge Ööbikuorg visitor centre – open daily 11:00–18:00. Burgers and light meals from 12:00.

Kunstikuuri kohvik (Art Barn Café), Rõuge small town, closed on Mondays, open during Midsummer 10:00–20:00, other days 10:00-18:00.

Rõuge Ööbikuoru Villa restaurant welcomes you every day 15:00–21:00, except on June 24 (closed).

Café Kampsun, Haanja – open Friday–Sunday 11:00–18:00.

Suur Muna (Big Egg Café) – June 22 11:00–21:00, June 23 12:00-18:00, June 24 12:00-21:00, starting from June 25 open daily 10:00-21:00, Sunday 10:00–18:00.

PuhmaPuhvet, Saarniidu ancestral farm – Tuesday–Thursday and Sunday 12:00–20:00, Friday–Saturday 12:00–21:00. Daily lunch specials from local ingredients. Closed on Mondays and national holidays.

Where to swim?

There are 12 beaches in Rõuge parish. The most popular ones are the Rõuge Suurjärv swimming spot and the Vaskna lake swimming spot. The complete list includes: Lake Ahitsõ, Lake Kavadi, Küpärsaare, Lake Liivajärv, Nursi, Lake Palujüri, Lake Pulli, Sänna reservoir, Vana-Roosa, and Lake Viitina.
